Meet our Event Organizer Survival Kit.

Organizing an event or festival is stressful. With a million moving parts, it’s easy to forget about the small things you might need on site to help with set-up and general convenience during the event. Freshtix has come up with a list of items to include in your Event Organizer Survival Kit to help you get started!

Power, Power, Power. The worst thing that can happen at an event is for your ticket scanners, laptop, or network hotspot to die. Make sure you come well-equipped to power your area. Bring power strips, extension cords, plug adapters, extra batteries, and any specific chargers for your equipment or phone.

Never stop networking. Do you have your laptop? Do you need a hotspot? Are you using your phone as one? What about a wireless mouse? Make sure you have everything you need to set your technology up on-site.

We get frequent compliments on our zip ties. We use them for everything from securing cords and cables to attaching signage to our tentDon’t forget a pair of wire snips to cut them afterwards. We also bring rope to cordon off our area to stop patrons from approaching us when we have cash or sensitive data on our computers. Make sure you have masking tape or gaffer tape to tape down cords to avoid a mess, or worse, tripping.

Our favorite trick is to use neon gaffer tape to label things like what is inside your boxes and cordon off table areas for “no drink” zones!

Who doesn’t love office supplies? It may sound obvious, but you’re going to need a pen. Definitely a Sharpie. And you’ll be surprised by how many uses you’ll find for rubber bands. A good festival kit has a bag filled with useful office supplies like pens, markers, paper clips, notepads, binder clips, scissors, staples, and tape, etc.

Take care of yourself. Bring sunblock and bug spray. Always. You may also want to pack some hand sanitizer, wipes, ponchos for rainy days, Band-Aids, and some Advil or other pain relievers.

Your home away from home. Bring chairs, a fan, and a cooler filled with ice, drinks, and snacks. And don’t forget your branded tablecloth!
