Letting people know about your events via traditional marketing channels is however getting more and more difficult. And therefore many event planners are looking for alternative marketing means or hacks for increasing attendance at their events. And that’s where growth-hacking comes in… the buzzword with the capital B in the startup community.

Why we clipped it: We’re in the same boat. Since we’re a startup we’re always thinking about ways we can growth-hack. So you should learn from us. And then we can learn from you. And then we’ll all just be learning and hacking and it’ll be awesome.

The internet is freaking out over this Chinese app that turns you into a hilarious dancing cartoon via Business Insider

4.24myidol

The internet has been obsessed with a new Chinese app called Huanshi that turns you into a hilarious dancing cartoon character. Huanshi is called MyIdol in the U.S. App Store, but that name is the only English thing about the app — the entire app is still in Chinese. This makes navigation a bit tricky, though many people are saying that the confusion is all part of the fun.

Why we clipped it: It’s seriously hilarious. I spent an hour making one of our Marketing Coordinator Johanna popping out of a box. You must try this. Of your boss.
