It’s been a truly exciting year for Freshtix. As a company that started just a few years ago to promote a handful of small New Year’s Eve events, to helping hundreds of organizers plan and promote their Holiday events this season, we experienced over 80% growth in 2016! As a result of this growth, we’ve been continuously working to improve the Freshtix platform. As we kick off 2017, we’re proud to share our Top 5 accomplishments with you.

#1 Daily Admission Model
Freshtix expanded its ticketing offering this year through the launch of the new “Daily Admission” model. Freshtix partnered with Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, GA to launch the platform for their annual Christmas tour along with their new “Christmas at Callanwolde Light Show”. The new model allows clients to feature events with multiple dates and entry times on a stand-alone, fully customized website. This differs from the standard Freshtix model (called the Multi-tenant solution launched in 2014) where Organizers manage and promote their events alongside many other Organizers on the website Freshtix.com. You can read more about the Daily Admission model here.

#2 Box Office Software
Freshtix now has easy-to-use Box Office software that allows you to sell tickets to your events on site through Freshtix.com without the need to download an app. All you’ll need to accept walk-up sales is a laptop and a card-swipe device. The new Box Office software replaces the need for Square or a PayPal account to accept card sales at your event, instantly saving you money on fees. In addition, the new tool provides an immediate scan of all tickets purchased on site, improving your reporting efficiency by allowing you to view those transactions alongside your advance sales in one convenient report.

Need on-demand ticket printing at your event? Freshtix is now able to print thermal tickets on-site for walk-up sales. Once the ticket is printed, the patron will enter the event through the same scan process as other event attendees who pre-purchased their (paper or mobile) ticket and scanned in.

#3 Online and off-line ticket scanning
In 2016, Freshtix launched a new version of its scanner app that offers the choice of online or off-line scanning, meaning an internet connection is not required to scan tickets. This is particularly beneficial in remote areas or venues that don’t have a good internet connection.

#4 Simplified Event Builder and New Dashboard
2016 brought about a complete streamlining of the Freshtix dashboard. Imagine having every tool you need to organize your event in one user-friendly place. Now you do! You can easily edit events, create events with multiple times or dates, add more tickets to existing events, check scan times, you name it. Learn more about our new dashboard here.

#5 Expanded Analytics
Data the most important way to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provides important insights on how to best allocate resources to drive ticket sales. Our new, interactive analytics let you track things like ticket sales by day, daily page views, and revenue by ticket type. Additionally, we added the ability for organizers to ask attendees questions. (think “What’s your shirt size?” or “How did you hear about us?” to gather important information from purchasers)

Thanks for spending 2016 with Freshtix! We look forward to another successful year of events and can’t wait to share even more exciting new features in 2017!
